"Nana came this evening and stayed till 9.30.
Pennycook said that I would have to do 4.15 journey tonight because Mr Thurgood caught me 'dossing' across the fields on my 9 o'clock journey with Rousell who was taking the Grain Post letter. However I didn't do four-fifteen, but I had a late night till 4.45.
I watered the garden with a hose Robert Foster lent me.
Mum brought a currant loaf home and am taking some for lunch.
Weather: - Very hot. No rain. Cloudless sky. No wind"
