'Al Arab' is a daily newspaper written in Arabic which caters for Arabs living in London. There is a photograph of Princess Diana on the back page. In 1997 she was killed in a car crash, together with Dodi Al-Fayed, son of the Egyptian millionaire owner of Harrods. Since the 1970s many Arab nationals have moved to the West, including London, to seek a new life and investment opportunities. The city has become an important centre for the Arabic language press.
