The union general secretary sent this telegram to the 'Father of Machine Managers Chapel' at The Star newspaper in Bouverie Street. It was sent on 3 May 1926, the day before the General Strike began, stating 'By Order General Council: No Machine Manager To Start Work Tuesday May 4th'.
