This is the catalogue of the Sweated Industries exhibition held at the Queen's Hall in May 1906. Organised by the Women's Trade Union and sponsored by the Daily News, the exhibition aimed to 'acquaint the public with the evils of Sweating'. The exhibition was divided into sections representing various industries including tailoring, shoemaking and sack-making. Workers demonstrated their skills to 'society' visitors including the Princess of Wales. Following the exhibition, social reformers successfully campaigned for the introduction of a minimum wage.
