Newham Young Carers is part of Newham Carers Network, which is a project of the renewal programme in Newham. The young carers have significant caring responsibilities for a family member or friend with a long-term illness or disability.

Newham Young Carers group gives them time to have some fun and meet up with other young people in a similar situation. www.youngcarers.net is a great site to find out more about young carers in general.

The elders who took part in this project are members of SubCo Trust.  This is a vital organisation in Newham that provides day care for Asian Elders from the Sub-Continent, particularly providing provision for those who are isolated, frail or housebound.
