Hurricane? What hurricane?

Thursday 3 April 2008, 12.30pm

Join our most famous weatherman, Michael Fish MBE, in this exciting lunchtime talk. Find out what is likely to happen in the next hundred years: is the Earth doomed and who are its winners and losers?

Learn how the climate of the Earth has changed over the last millennia, and in particular, how human actions have influenced weather patterns since the Industrial Revolution. There will be a chance to ask questions – and don’t worry, you can mention the hurricane of 1987 as there will also be a book signing of Michael’s most recent publication about the 1987 hurricane, ‘Storm Force: Britain’s Wildest Weather’, written with fellow TV weathermen, Ian McCaskill and Paul Hudson.

There will also be an opportunity to view our new foyer display called 'Weather Permitting: London's changing climate'.

Thursday 03 April, 12.30pm
