In Royal Fashion: the clothes of Princess Charlotte of Wales and Queen Victoria 1796-1901 ran from 20 May to 23 November 1997 and was opened by HRH the Princess Royal.

Coinciding with the 160th anniversary of Queen Victoria's accession, this exhibition gives a unique opportunity to view magnificent wedding dresses and coronation robes, as well as informal dresses, dressing gowns, parasols, bonnets, gloves and shoes rarely displayed before.
