The introduction is this website’s homepage. It contains links to the four main parts of the site: Themes, People, Timeline and Games.

There is a navigation bar underneath the website name banner. This is always on display. This contains links to all sections of the site:

Themes
This section provides information on nine different themes represented in the gallery. These appear on the main theme menu page.
Each theme is divided into subjects, which have more detailed information (e.g. the theme of Daily life is divided into nine subjects, such as Childhood and Health).
To look at a subject, click on the theme you are interested in on the main theme menu page. This will take you to a theme page. At the bottom of each theme page is a list of related subjects. Click on a subject to reach its subject page.
Subjects are linked to relevant objects, which can be viewed by clicking on the drop-down menus at the bottom of each subject page and selecting one from the list.
Subjects are also linked to relevant people, who can be viewed by clicking on the drop-down menus at the bottom of each subject page and selecting one from the list.
People
30 people are featured on this website. They are divided into 8 categories, which appear on the main people menu page.
To look at a person, click on the category you are interested in (e.g. Nobility & the royal court). This will take you to a category page. People linked to a category can be viewed by clicking on the drop-down menus at the bottom of each category page and selecting a person from the list.
Each person has their own page with information about them. These pages are also linked to related subjects, objects and people. Subject links are listed at the bottom of the page. Related objects and people can be viewed by clicking on the drop-down menus at the bottom of each person page and selecting one from the list.
Some people (e.g. Geoffrey Chaucer) have a more information page linked to them, which gives detailed information about their lives.
Timeline
This website features an interactive timeline. You will need Adobe Flash Player software to use it. If you do not already have Flash Player on your computer, you can download it from:

Navigate along the timeline by clicking and holding your mouse on the slider underneath the timeline.
Click on the dates on the timeline to find out more about them. A pop-up box will appear with more details. If you want even more information, click on the more link in the pop-up box. This will take you to an event page.
Event pages are linked to related subjects, people and objects. These links are available at the bottom of event pages. Click the back button in your browser or the Timeline link at the left-hand side of the page to return to the timeline.
The timeline also features images. To find out more about an image, hold your mouse over it and a short description will appear.
