Artwork 'My brother the horseguard,' by Danny, a participant of the project

Inspired by objects from the Museum’s collection, long-term offenders from Wandsworth Prison worked with artists to create artworks of places in London that were significant in their lives. They also took part in creative writing workshops to create interpretations of the artworks.

Artwork 'Badger,' by Vince, a participant of the project

The work was exhibited at the prison, Wandsworth Museum and the Museum of London. From lino prints showing an abstract interpretation of Poplar in the Blitz to a screen print of skyline of Commercial Road shown in piano tuning tools, this work provides personal and moving views of the capital.
