“you cannot forget VE Day”

8 May 1945 was VE Day, marking ‘Victory in Europe’ after six long painful years of war. The Museum of London has been collecting the life stories of Londoners for more than a decade. Many remember and talk about their experiences during the Second World War. Here you can listen to some of their memories of the end of the war. Look out for the Listen buttons (Audio icon), to hear what they have to say.

Note: To listen to sound clips you will need Windows Media Player or QuickTime installed on your computer
