Women Talk

Women's lives have changed dramatically within living memory. Women have entered and transformed workplaces that were previously closed to them, while continuing to carry the main responsibility for home-making and childcare.

The Museum of London has been collecting the life stories of Londoners for more than a decade. Here you can listen to memories of women in the home, the workplace and the community. Personal, witty, and sometimes heartbreaking, their stories challenge us all to think about the women in our lives. Look out for the listen buttons (Audio icon), to hear what they have to say.
