Facilities

The Museum is housed in a modern, purpose-designed building and has excellent facilities.


Food

The Museum Café provides hot and cold food, freshly prepared salads and baguettes, beverages and children's meals. It is open:

Monday to Saturday: 10am-5.00pm

Sunday: 12-5.00pm

The café can also cater for special events and group visits. Please ask for details when you make your booking.

All booked school visits can be allocated a picnic area where classes can eat their own packed lunches. Please request this when making your booking.

Picnic areas are also available to other booked groups and members of the public, space permitting.

Cloakrooms

A public cloakroom is available, during Museum opening hours, in the new foyer.

Coat racks are available for schools and groups, and will be allocated to booked groups on arrival.

Toilets

There are public toilets on the entrance level and levels Lower 1 and Lower 2. The café also has toilets.

Accessible toilets for wheelchair users can be found on the entrance level and levels Lower 1 and Lower 2. The café also has accessible toilets.

Toilets for schools and groups are upstairs in the Schools Area.

Baby changing

There are baby-changing facilities on the entrance level and levels Lower 1 and Lower 2.

Shop

The new foyer includes a larger shop selling a wide range of postcards, souvenirs, cds and gifts to suit all purses as well as books and guides. It is open:

Monday to Saturday: 10am-5.50pm

Sunday: 12-5.50pm
