Save an image

Use this page to save an image or a pair of thumb/large images into a posting. THIS POSTING IS NOT FOR DISPLAY. It should be used only to feed an icon into a summary control, for example when using the "Bulleted list" stylesheet, or to create a pair of images one of which will show in a summary control and the other on its own (not in an HTML page). The small image held here will be extracted and displayed by a summary control stylesheet, but no link will be made to this posting (except in edit mode)

Because this posting should not be visible to users, in the case of  icons at least it is best held in a channel that will not be listed, for example an "images" channel. You can then select the specific posting/image you want from that channel using the summary control tree.

If you are making a pair of images, for example to be listed in a photo gallery (using the "Plain image gallery" stylesheet), don't forget to fill in the caption too. This will be used to write the text in the gallery.
