Pupils with special educational needs
From Autumn 2006 we will offer a tailored service for pupils with SEN at all key stages, both in special and inclusive schools.
This new programme will offer range of stimulating, multi-sensory sessions at the Museum including musical storytelling, puppet shows, art workshops and object handling. All booked sessions will be supported by teachers’ packs with resources for pupils to use in the relevant gallery.
SEN sessions will also be available at our sister museum, Museum of London Docklands.
Hospital and special schools in London will be eligible for our free outreach service from Autumn 2006. A visit to your school can support and inspire learning across the curriculum and sessions will be tailored to meet the needs of pupils in consultation with the class teacher. Schools can also take the opportunity to link with the Museum through video conferences.
All sessions are free, thanks to support from Renaissance London.
