City Senses backpacks

Are you tired of written worksheets in galleries that are not accessible enough for your pupils? Our City Senses backpacks are designed for SEN schools to use in the Roman and Medieval galleries.

Backpacks can be distributed either one per pupil and accompanying adult, or you can use one backpack for your whole group to investigate together.

Experience a day in the life of a Roman centurion in the Roman London gallery. Dress up in his leather and metal belt, listen to market sounds, smell herbs used in Roman cookery and draw Roman gods.

Go back in time through the Anglo-Saxon period, the Viking invasions and Black Death with the Medieval pack. Dress up in an Anglo-Saxon cloak, listen to a story about King Alfred in an Anglo-Saxon hut, and play a magnet game to decide what to wear to a medieval party.

We suggest that you come and try out the backpacks before you visit with your class.  You can arrange this through the SEN Officer on 020 7814 5549.
