Welcoming families at the Museum of London is important to us. As part of our commitment to family visitors we have developed a number of resources and programmes specifically for families. This part of the website being one.

In this section you will find information that will help you make your visit more enjoyable and inspiring. There is practical information, such as buggy parking and baby changing as well as suggested activities and family friendly topics in the galleries.
Practical issues
Location
The museum entrance is located on a pedestrian high walk level. Arriving from St Paul’s or Barbican tube station, there is lift access from street level at St Martin Le Grand, Aldersgate Street and London Wall.
Picnic area
The museum’s picnic area is open for families on weekends and during school holidays. High chairs are available. Please do not eat or drink in the galleries. The Museum cafe has some child friendly food.
Buggies and pushchairs
The museum is happy for you to take your buggy or pushchair around the gallery, but if you would like to leave it you can do so in our staffed cloakroom, there is a 50p charge for each item left.
Baby changing
Baby changing facilities are available on all floors.
Learning together
Activities and events have been designed for adults and children to enjoy together. Parents are responsible for children at all times.

Warm welcomeIf you need any help or advice our Hosts will be happy to assist. You can find them in the galleries or at the Welcome desk, identifiable in grey and red uniforms and name badges.
