The Museum of London media art commission

The Museum of London media art commission is a new biennial competition organised in collaboration with Film London. It challenges artists to capture and convey the spirit and rhythm of the contemporary city.

The objective of the competition is to provoke a series of media art installations that, over time, offer a shifting portrait of the capital.  These installations are presented on an extraordinary new LED ellipse and plasma array in the Sackler Hall at the heart of the Museum.  Reflecting London as global and local, monumental and intimate, historic and cutting edge, the series will create a legacy of contemplation about early 21st century London.

The first commission, LDN24 by The Light Surgeons, was launched at the Museum on 28 May 2010.
