This page is designed to provide students with learning difficulties with a range of ways to interact with an object from the Museum’s collection. Use the 3D model to visually explore the object by zooming in on it and turning it around using your mouse. The simple caption on the right is also key-word signed with audio in the video below. Tip: your internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) can change the size of the text to suit the requirements of your pupils (go to View > Text size). You may also wish to change your screen resolution (go to Start > Control Panel > Display) to at least 800 pixels high to make sure that all the page all fits on your screen.
Boots like this one were worn by boys and girls in Victorian times. Children a long time ago may have worn this boot to school. It is made of leather with glass buttons. Boots cost lots of money and had to be taken special care of. What shoes do you wear to school? Do your shoes have buttons?
