Self-directed visits
Teachers are able to design their own programme of study at both Museums. All self-directed visits are free but must be booked in advance.

Foundation Stage and primary school support materials
Self-directed teachers’ packs giving general suggestions for planning your visit are available. Gallery activity sheets designed to help pupils interpret specific curriculum areas are available for all sessions.
Interactive presentations and quizzes about Roman, Anglo-Saxon and Medieval London are also available to support self-directed visits.
Secondary school support materials
Teachers resources and gallery activities are available to support self-directed visits.

Self-directed digital learning activities for gallery use
You may like to use some of our suggestions for e-learning opportunities in the galleries. These include:
- using digital cameras to create a photo journal of your visit
- making an audio/video news report
- creating a multi-media history quiz
- using you images from the Museum as a stimulus for storytelling
- creating an exhibition.
