Archaeology for all: Hidden treasures of the Thames (KS2 & 3)

Fieldtrip and Museum
Session one: Fieldwork on the riverside includes recording river features and evidence of human use. Work on the foreshore involves collecting and identifying historical artefacts as evidence of past river use.
Session two: Indoor activities include practising historical enquiry skills by using specially designed sorting boards. We will also investigate how artefacts found help us build up a picture of London's settlement.
Group Size: Maximum group size is 30 pupils.
Other information: Please note this is a charged for session.
Costs per group: Full day programme - £250, Half day programme - £150
Duration: Full day programme (2 hours fieldwork and 2 hours indoor activities), half day programme (2 hours fieldwork)
