About the learning programme for special & hospital schools, & SEN units

All sessions run by the Museum are FREE. We offer a range of interactive and inspirational National Curriculum linked sessions.

A visit to the Museum of London or the Museum of London Docklands or a session at your school can support and inspire learning across the curriculum - in Literacy, Geography, Citizenship and Art, as well as History. The session leaders are experienced at facilitating sessions for different age groups, abilities and needs.

Sessions are tailored to meet the learning needs of your pupils and are suitable for all ages. Supporting resource materials are available to help you prepare for and follow up a session.

We offer an extensive range of Museum-based sessions, 'At your school' outreach visits and 'School and Museum projects'.

Opportunities include:

  • half-day workshops at your school or at the Museum of London or the Museum of London Docklands
  • a visit to your school followed by a Museum visit
  • 4- 5 week projects at your school including a Museum visit.

The sessions include:

  • drama, storytelling and theatre performances
  • object handling and replica costume
  • art workshops
  • interactive gallery workshops.
