Map of Bedlam

Nothing remains of the medieval hospital today. The site is now occupied by the Great Eastern Hotel next to Liverpool Street station.

The map itself is the earliest printed map of London. The copper plate from which the map was printed is part of the Museum of London's collections. Click on the plus sign to see inside the hospital in the 19th century.
