 Changing London

St Paul's Cathedral in the 17th century.
When completed in 1327 this was the longest cathedral in northern Europe. It had a spire 450ft (or 140m) high which was destroyed by lightning in 1561. The whole cathedral was burnt down in the Great Fire of 1666, along with 88 other churches. Click on the plus button to see a modern view.
