The Crown Imperial Society aims to promote and foster an interest in the study of military history, medals, badges, military insignia and uniforms. The society's journal, published annually, includes information relating to badge and medal collecting and articles on military history. Deep Space Dykes, founded 1997, approximately 30 members Deep Space Dykes was formed in 1997 when six lesbian Star Trek fans answered an advertisement. We had a group T-shirt made with the wording taken from the Star Trek character, the Borg: 'We assimilate, resistance is futile'. As we are constantly gaining new members, this still seems apt today. Created by Terry Nation in 1963, the Dalek today is an instantly-recognised British cultural icon, recently chosen to represent television for the Millennium postage stamp collection. Although Doctor Who has long creased production, the Dalek lives on and with it so does the programme and our society. Enfield Preservation Society, founded 1936, 2200 members This model was made for Enfield Preservation Society to illustrate alternative proposals to the Borough's destructive ring road scheme. Prepared in 1964, as part of the Save Enfield Campaign, these proposals must be seen in the context of the expansionist 1960s. service provider We form a network of women, black/ of colour and white, of different nationalities and backgrounds, working at various levels of the sex industry. We campaign for human, legal, economic and civil rights for prostitute women, and for higher welfare benefits, student grants, wages, housing and other resources, so that no woman is forced by poverty into sex with anyone.
