Kevin Boys' Blacksmithing Class, founded 1992, 10 members Our bouquet illustrates blacksmithing as a creative process, highlighting individual skills within a team framework. It also promotes the arts and crafts and inspires others to be creative. Blacksmithing is one of the oldest crafts, yet still has much to offer us both in the present and in the future. Email: n/a
Kimosi Kia Bakongo, founded 1998, 50 members Kimosi Kia Bakongo is a social and cultural group providing assistance to Bakongo people. This portrait is very significant for Bakongo people from Angola, Congo-Brazzaville, Gabon and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The powerful Queen Vita Kimpa, known in the West as the African Joan of Arc due to her courage in fighting to maintain Bakongo liberty, spirituality and culture. Email: kkbakongo@aol.com
Kingsbury Manor Asian Mental Health Day Centre, founded 1986, 90 members I started this painting last year and finished it in January for the Millennium. I have been attending Kingsbury Manor for the last five years. It has helped me with my depression. Art therapy has helped me tremendously with my recovery. Lesbian & Gay Christian Movement, founded 1976, 5000 members T-shirts with a message convey meaning, and are not infrequently intended to challenge and provoke. Visibility is important to us as it helps break down the damaging effects of invisibility. members At the turn of the Millennium, there is still no English law which outlaws discrimination against people who have same-sex relationships. Lesbians and gay men are not a homogeneous group. Little Larkins Community Club, founded 1990, 24 members Our community club was established to enable the tenants of our sheltered accommodation block to get together and have a say in the running of our lives. London Buddhist Vihara, founded 1927, 3000-4000 supporters The Buddha is not worshipped as a god, but he is offered the highest respect as the peerless teacher.
