The WGARCR was set up as a result of growing concern amongst parents, teachers and childcarers that racist stereotypes were being passed on to children through toys, books and other resources. This heritage trail of Twickenham was compiled by a past pupil of Orleans Park School. It is an excellent example of the work of an 11-12-year old who had been asked to produce a heritage trail for visitors to the area.

These replica canopic jars were made for the launch event of the Young Friends of the British Museum, established to provide fun and educational events that enable parents and children to learn together. They have also been on display during sleepovers in the Egyptian Gallery - one of the most popular events for Young Friends.
