Camden Town had long
been renowned for cheap and shabby rooming houses. Sickert lodged
at number 6 Mornington Crescent in 1905 and Gore rented a front
room at number 31 between 1909 and 1912. This view from the window
looks north-east towards the Tube Station. It is one of a series
Gore painted looking in all directions and capturing all weathers.
