The Tour Eiffel restaurant in Percy Street was a meeting place for many of the artists and writers who populated Fitzrovia in the early 20th century. Wyndham Lewis and Ezra Pound founded the Vorticist movement there in 1914, with the publication of the first issue of their manifesto 'Blast'.
