This urinal from Holborn became famous after Geoffrey Fletcher wrote in his book "The London Nobody Knows" that live goldfish were kept in the glass cisterns and could be seen swimming around. Geoffrey Fletcher later admitted that he made the story up as a bit of fun as the urinal cisterns were such a wonderful feature of the building and he 'felt that there should have been fish there'.
