Dark grey stoneware body with overall iron wash under lustrous ash, or salt glaze. The mount is either a horse, or possibly, judging by the ears of (cf. A26527) a donkey. The figurine is modelled with either a small child or an animal or bird on one arm. Applied details of hair and dress stabbed and slashed, with relief elements (eyes of animal, reins and cuffs) applied in a darker clay fabric or slip. Location: Not currently on display.
