Subject matter adapted from painting by Boucher, which was engraved by Carle van Loo, and modelled by Roubiliac. A youth sits in front of a bocage flowering tree, playing a hurdy gurdy. His female companion helps a small dog dressed in a jacket and trousers to stand upright and dance on top of a marble plinth. Marked with a gold anchor. One of only two recorded examples, the other is at West Dean House, Chichester, West Sussex. Location: Object not available for study at present (gallery refurbishment) Sub-category: Chelsea.
