Summary: Coffee saucer said to have been used by Queen Victoria when a girl. It is porcelain with underglaze red and gilt applied decoration in a foliate pattern. A paper label stuck to the outside of the saucer is inscribed in ink, 'To Rosalind Hertslet (?) - 1926. This cup & saucer were used by Queen Victoria in 1822, & after, when a little girl at Kensington Palace. at Tea parties for her, given by Col. Legge. Master of the Horse - & kept only for her use. given to B.A. Legge by him & by B.A.L. to Mrs. F. Worship & by her to her niece R. Hertslet (?)'.
