See large image drinking glass; goblet and coverAccession number: 34.139/115Production date: c. 1760 Material: glass Measurements: H 215 mm; H (with cover) 320 mm Museum Section: Decorative Art Summary: Goblet with large cup bowl, opaque twist stem, and plain foot. The bowl is engraved with the arms and insignia of the Britannia Society including inscriptions: 'Britones Veri', 'Mag Britanniam Deus Conservet'. The foot is engraved with fruit and flowers. The slightly domed cover is engraved with flowers and with wrought crown-like finial. The engraving is of a later date.
