Find the entrance

The museum entrance is two minutes walk from West India Quay.

We welcome and value all visitors to the museum. We prefer those under the age of 11 to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

There is a public car park behind the museum on Hertsmere Road

Coach

The coach drop-off point is behind the museum on Hertsmere Road, but please note that parking is not permitted

Bicycle

There are PlantLock planters outside our front entrance that you can lock your bike to. There is also a bicycle rack behind the museum on Hertsmere Road, by the Cineworld entrance. Please note that bicycles are left at visitors’ own risk

River

Canary Wharf Pier is a short walk away. MBNA Thames Clippers River Bus services depart every 20 minutes with connections including Embankment, London Eye, Bankside, London Bridge and Greenwich

Lockers are available. They can fit cabin sized luggage (24cm x 37cm x 43cm) and cost £1 to use

Accessibility

There is full physical access to all public areas of the museum, including galleries, classrooms, shop, café and theatre. If you have any requirements, please ask the Visitor Hosts at the Information Desk on arrival. The museum has original floorboards which are uneven in places
