For Londoners, frost fairs were a once in a lifetime occasion, when the frozen Thames became a carnival and street market all rolled into one.

This small display at the Museum of London Docklands includes a varied collection of original keepsakes from the 1814 frost fair, and important contemporary illustrations, including two etchings by satirical artist, George Cruikshank, and a print by George Thompson.
