Summary

Excavations on this small site to the S of Cannon Street located three Roman water channels revetted with timber, probably for drainage rather than for water supply. Numerous post-holes were found, mostly associated with the channels, though one group may represent a Late Saxon building. Pits of Roman, Saxon and medieval date were recorded.
