A survey was made of the standing remains of the medieval palace of the bishops of Winchester, including a wall containing a large rose window, at the W end of the original Great Hall of the palace. (For plan, see WP83: Pickford's Wharf D. Another site code, WP86, was assigned to records of parts of the Great Hall.)
