Mavis Cook

East London air raids


Mavis Cook was born in 1934. During the Second World War, her family's home in Dalston was bombed so they went to live with her aunt in Highams Park. In her interview, she talks about sheltering during the air raids.

Mavis Cook was interviewed by Annette Day in 2000.
