My second home |

|
I came to UK to study, away from my family and I was afraid that I would never find friends or a neighborhood that I would feel safe. I rent a house in Southgate and at the beginning I was not sure about the area. Around the station there are many restaurants and shops. There are also pubs that I could go and relax. I made friends there and made me feel like I have known them for years. There is also Middlesex University in the area with a big park across the road. My neighborhood is quiet with two parks next to my house and I like playing football there with my friends from the pub. I talk with my neighbors every day and I know if I need their help anytime they will give it to me. I feel safe in my area because there are families that care of one another. I believe that Southgate is a pleasant and safe area for someone to live in. I would never change my neighborhood or my area even if there are many bigger areas in London. It reminds me my hometown and it feels every day like I am back in my country even though I am hundreds miles away. |
