In the 60s close to Forest Hill Station was a café complete with pin tables and juke box. I remember once going in there to find a number of unknown Rockers lounging around. |

Keeping my cool I approached the juke box but due to an excessively nervous finger I pushed the wrong button and the unmistakable voice of Haley Mills ensued singing Lets get together. A tragic error on my part. |

There was also across the road from the café a typical 1960s coffee bar called the Alpine presumably catering for the more mod market. |
