Queensway & Bayswater Roadby Endah Kusumaningtyas, London Met University |

My name is Endah, an International student from Indonesia. In London, I live in Inverness Terrace which can be reach either by Bayswater or Queensway tube station. The area is quite lively with many shops along the road, varied from restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, salons, pubs, banks to leisure centres such as cinema and bowling alley. It is also bustling with tourists who stay in hotels or B&B in the neighbourhood or tourists who normally come to Queensway for dining or shopping for souvenirs after visiting the famous Kensington Garden and Kensington Palace. |

I enjoyed living in Inverness Terrace as I only need few minutes walk in order to get some food or to get something from the supermarket, the best part of all is that my work place is within a walk distance from where I live. Queensway is within few minutes walk from Westbourne Grove and Notting Hill which add the advantages to live in the area during the Notting Hill carnival. In my free time and especially in a sunny day, I like visiting Kensington Garden for a walk, cycling, do some reading or even feeding the ducks and the swans in the round pound inside the park. Even though it is a good area to live in, however, sometimes I wish that I live in a more quiet area as it is quite frustrating to see many people passing by on the road every day. |
