Trusts, foundations and livery companies play a crucial role in supporting the important work of the museum across a wide cross-section – from learning and family outreach to essential conservation and acquisitions. There are countless opportunities for your support to make an impact, and we would be delighted to hear from anyone interested in finding out more about our work.

Though we are a museum of London, we are a museum for everyone, and we are committed to making a tangible difference – whether this is through inspiring the next generation with a love of history and their capital city, or making our museum accessible to as wide an audience as possible. Trusts, foundations and livery companies are key to allowing us to do this, and we work with a number of like-minded organisations in London and across the country who support us in achieving these goals.

How your donation helps

A generous donation from the John Horniman’s Children’s Trust in July 2018 enabled the Museum of London to continue running Morning Explorers, our events for families with children on the autistic spectrum. Before the museum is open to the rest of the public, these special mornings allow children to explore the museum in a quiet, calm and informal atmosphere, with activities such as object handling and creative crafting, planned with sensitivity to their individual needs. We are so grateful to the Trust for supporting us in this way.
