Handling Object Types (2 of 8)

How do I handle textiles and costumes? (continued)

Small textiles:
Carry small textiles flat on a board or a tray. If the textile needs to be turned over then consider sandwiching it between a couple of pieces of Melinex before turning. If it is too large for this then roll the textile, and then unroll it from underneath to access the other side.
Rolled textiles:
Rolled textiles should be carried horizontally, with each end supported.
Loose costumes:
Support loose costumes on both arms, preferably with a clean cloth between your arms and the costume. This should ensure that your clothes do not become entangled with the costume.
Costumes on hangers:
Hold the hanger in one hand, and support the rest of the garment across your other arm.
