Basic Packing (3 of 5)

How do I pack an object? (continued)

Documentation

It is important to remember that a different person may be unpacking or repacking the object at its final destination. Therefore, it is helpful to include documentation that explains the packing method (such as packing instructions or a diagram) as well as information on the packed objects (for example, the number of objects, condition reports, images, and information on the lending institution). Labels such as “This Way Up” or “This End is Heavy” signs or symbols are also important.
