Schools booking and cancellations policy

Most of our activities for schools are offered for free, but if you find you have to cancel a session it can still incur a cost in planning or facilitator time. As such, we apply cancellation fees where we need to.

What we charge

Cancellations must be confirmed in writing, so be sure to email us at [email protected] as well as calling our Box Office on 020 7001 9844 at the earliest opportunity. This will give us the chance to offer cancelled sessions to other schools.

For sessions that take place at our museum sites:

  • If you have to cancel your activity but give over 8 weeks' notice - £30
  • If you have to cancel your activity but give 4-8 weeks' notice - £50
  • If you have to cancel your activity but give less than 4 weeks' notice - £150
  • If your school fails to arrive on the booked date of your activity - £200.

For ‘at your school’ or online sessions:

  • If you have to cancel your activity but give less than 4 weeks' notice for The Blitz through Connie's eyes - £200

These fees are calculated on the museum’s cost to run these sessions.
