Celebrate Women’s History Month and join Rachel Kolsky, author of ‘Women’s London’, aboard a vintage Routemaster as we explore the extraordinary lives of women of the East End. We will learn about the legacy they have left behind; from match girls to suffragettes, social workers to nurses and royal rebels to artists and authors, East London has them all. The event includes an exclusive tour of Kingsley Hall. Founded by sisters Muriel and Doris Lester, the Hall played a significant part in the history of the area and the Suffragette campaign. There will be complimentary refreshments included in this part of the tour before we reboard the bus and end at Museum of London Docklands. Copies of Rachel’s book ‘Women’s London’ will be available for sale in the museum shop at the end of the tour for the reduced rate of £11.99 (RRP £14.99).
