Join this fascinating walk around London’s West End, discovering the colourful history of the 18th century Gin Craze, its impact on Londoners and how they responded to it. Hear about Hogarth’s “Gin Lane”, Covent Garden’s prostitutes, the 1814 Great Beer Flood, Gin Palaces and famous crimes caused by gin addiction. From the Dominion Theatre through the slums of St Giles, Seven Dials, Bow Street and Drury Lane to a 16th century pub in Holborn, ending with a free glass of boutique gin.
