Have an active impact on the museum’s work, while exploring London’s past, present and future alongside our Chairman and Director.
The Society of Londoners is a group of fascinating individuals invested in London. Donating offers an incredible opportunity to make a charitable impact at the Museum of London, while being connected with London’s rich history, its vibrant present and its exciting future.
We want the museum to be a place where members come to engage, debate and share their experience and ideas with other Londoners so that, together, we can make London the best it can be.
Our four levels of annual support offer ever closer interaction with the museum:
From Young Members to Luminaries, all Society of Londoners supporters are invited to contribute to conversations about topics both within and without the museum walls. We want our supporters to feel truly invested in everything that the Museum of London represents, and to witness the impact of their support, both philanthropic and personal.
Members receive bespoke opportunities to see the impact of their support, from private views of exhibitions, to behind-the-scenes visits to our collection stores.
At present, Society of Londoners pay a charitable donation, which goes towards supporting the museum’s core work in research, exhibitions, learning and access.
If you gift Society of Londoners membership to another, they will receive special opportunities to be at the heart of the museum, and your gift will support the ongoing work of the museum, from learning and outreach to exhibitions and acquisitions.
“Being part of the Society of Londoners is hugely enjoyable and full of uniquely rewarding experiences. It is my great pleasure to support the museum by being a part of it.”David Pearl, Chairman, Pearl & Coutts, Philanthropist and Luminary
