Have an active impact on the museum’s work, while exploring London’s past, present and future alongside our Chairman and Director.
The Society of Londoners is a group of fascinating individuals invested in London. Membership offers an incredible opportunity to make a charitable impact at the Museum of London, while being connected with London’s rich history, its vibrant present and its exciting future.
We want the museum to be a place where members come to engage, debate and share their experience and ideas with other Londoners so that, together, we can make London the best it can be.
Our four levels of annual support offer ever closer interaction with the museum:
From Young Members to Luminaries, all Society of Londoners members are invited to contribute to conversations about topics both within and without the museum walls. We want our members to feel truly invested in everything that the Museum of London represents, and to witness the impact of their support, both philanthropic and personal.
Our Young Ambassadors are London's future change-makers, working on some of the most forward-thinking initiatives in the city today and continuing London’s lineage as a city of innovation.
All members receive the following benefits:
The following benefits are also extended to Visionaries and Luminaries:
Membership fees are a combination of membership benefit and charitable donation, the latter going towards supporting the museum’s work in research, exhibitions, learning and access.
If you gift Society of Londoners membership to another, they will receive:
Your gift will support the ongoing work of the museum, from learning and outreach to exhibitions and acquisitions.
An exciting programme of events and trips will take you across the city and behind-the-scenes at the Museum, whether it’s to visit our 26,000 object strong Costume Stores, a private visit to 10 Downing Street, a curator-led tour of a hidden Roman bathhouse, or a hard hat site visit to Farringdon Crossrail. Visionaries and Luminaries receive additional invitations to our Director’s Lunches and Chairman’s Dinners, with a fascinating roster of speakers including Sir David Cannadine, Lucy Worsley OBE, David Olusoga and Sir Max Hastings.
