The Museum of London is a charity and much of our activity relies on philanthropic support. By remembering us in your Will, you will secure our future and help us continue to tell the story of London and its people.
Why leave us a gift
A gift of any size will help us continue our work to inspire future generations of Londoners, grow, conserve and display our extraordinary collection, and continue ground-breaking research about London and its place in the world.
We are huge fans of the Museum of London, and do what we can to support its work. By leaving a gift in our Wills, we hope that we can help the Museum to maintain its position as a world-class centre of excellence which future generations will continue to enjoy. At the heart of the decision is also the fact we love this city – it's been our home for more than two decades and I can't imagine a life without it playing some part. How to leave us a gift
If you decide you would like to include the museum in your Will, you will need to know our name, address and registered charity number, which must be written in your Will:

Home-visit Wills – special charity rate
We joined the Goodwill Partnership to offer a discounted Will service which enables you to write your Will in the comfort of your home or over the phone.
Home visits are conducted by a trained professional who will pass your instructions to the panel solicitor to provide your Will. Our special charity rate for a Will is £108 +VAT. There is no charge for the home visit, including out of office hours.

Online Wills – special discount for Museum of London supporters
We have partnered with Farewill, a leading provider of online Wills. You can make your legally-binding Will online in minutes from the comfort of your own home and with live support from their Will specialists. You can even pause and come back to complete your Will.
We are delighted to offer a special 50% discount for Museum of London supporters, making the Will only £45 (regular price £90). Simply use code museumoflondon50 when completing the Will on the Farewill website.
There is no obligation to leave a gift to the Museum of London when using of this offer, though of course we would be grateful for your support if you decided to do so.
If you are likely to have a complex estate, we would always recommend speaking to a solicitor.
If you already have a Will
If you would like to leave the Museum of London a gift and you already have an existing Will, you can do so without having to write a new Will through a codicil, or an official alteration to your Will. We would recommend speaking to your solicitor to make sure your codicil is valid. You may also choose to write a new Will.
