London Museum Development conference (sold out)
Museum of London
Wednesday 13 March, 10am - 2.30pm
This conference is now sold out. Join us for a morning of keynote speeches and exciting news and announcements about the London museums sector. London Museum Development will be publishing the findings of its first annual survey of London museums. Isabel Wilson, Senior Officer Museum Development at Arts Council England (ACE), will be giving all the latest news about ACE’s work with the museums sector, such as the re-launched Accreditation scheme, National Lottery project grants, its vision for Museum Development and the other Sector Support Organisations, and the latest on its action plan for the 2017 Mendoza Review of the English museums sector.
Museum of London will be giving the latest news on the move to its new museum at West Smithfield. We will be announcing opportunities for museums in London to become involved in the project and describing the various forms that this involvement might take. After the networking lunch (lunch provided), we are still hoping to run a hard hat tour of the new museums site, just a 5 minute walk away at West Smithfield.
